Boston Society of Film Awards 2009

Boston rather sat on the fence this year resulting in two ties. They obviously liked Wall-E a great deal but didn't quite want to give the Best Picture to an animated movie so bottled it and added Slumdog Millionaire. Sean Penn and Mickey Rourke also tied for Best Actor and personally I hate ties its just looks like you couldn't make your mind up. It has to be said that Boston have never been the best source of Oscar predictions so perhaps they are just hedging their bets to get more correct. The only award that stands out from Boston, in regards the ability to match Oscar, is in the Best Actress category. Sally Hawkins is the beneficiary here and her chances of Oscar glory are growing award after award.
