Chicago Film Critics Association Awards 2009

Chicago are one of the best predictors of Oscars of all so many a winner here will be licking their lips for the big one next February. Chicago's best categories are Best Picture and Best Director. This is the biggest indication yet that Wall-E may sneak in as a Best Picture nominee and Danny Boyle is almost getting his acceptance speech ready. Mickey Rourke (Best Actor) and Wall-E (Best Original Screenplay) will be celebrating tonight and Anne Hathaway (Best Actress), Heath Ledger (Best Supporting Actor), Wall-E (Best Animated) and Man on Wire (Best Documentary) have had their chances boosted with these results.
