New York Film Critics Circle Awards 2009 |
Milk and Happy Go Lucky were the big winners from the New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC). Milk won Best Picture and Josh Brolin received the Supporting Actor prize. Happy Go Lucky was the winner in Best Director, Mike Leigh, and Sallt Hawkins won her second award of the season as Best Actress. According to the recent record of NYFCC ability to read the minds of the Academy it looks especially good for Sean Penn for Best Actor and Mike Leigh for Best Director. Sally Hawkins and Wall-E for their respective categories also look good. |
