San Francisco Film Critics Circle Awards 2009 |
Unsurprisingly Milk romped home here winning several awards. San Francisco is also a very poor predictor of the Oscars generally with many categories they are lucky to get the winner once in five years. That said the awards for Best Actress and Best Director are always worth a second look. This gives Sally Hawkins another good boost for a nomination and Milk's director Gus Van Sant gets a welcome amount of points. |
